From The Estate Of Janet Blair (B 1921- d. 2007): Hello, This was from my mother s Vintage Ceramic and ART Pottery collection. Time to let more of it go: This Fantastic & Rare, ARTs & Crafts, & a bit Art Nuveau also,double handle, Nelson McCoy VASE, in Matte White glaze, was owned by my mother, Actress /Movie Star, JANET BLAIR. My mother, Actress Janet Blair, Starred in over 20 movies, dozens and dozens of TV shows, and thousands of performances on stage. She co-starred with the likes of Cary Grant, Rosilynd Russell, Rita Hayworth, Glenn Ford, Red Skelton, Milton Bearle, Sid Ceasar, Henry Fonda, George Raft, and the list goes on and on...She appeared on the cover of LIFE magazine, Cosmopolitan , TV GUIDE and many more...Her career lasted more than FIVE DECADES! My mother loved collecting Vintage Ceramics and art pottery. And she had a Voracious appetite for the very best, in any category. McCoy was one of her Favorites. This Vase is a fine example of that. It is marked on the bottom with the Impressed NM - USA for Nelson McCoy Pottery Company. It is in great shape for being around this long. Just 3 tiny flea bite /chips at the rim (as shown). But not bad at all, and doesnt detract from the item. There is a blemmish ,on one of the views, but I have since been able to remove it completely.
