Here are the starter-questions that we considered earlier this glorious afternoon on the grass of Loring Park:

1. What problem is addressed?
2.  Why did God establish the priesthood with specific prescriptions for sacrifices?
3. Do you imagine that it is helpful (or a hindrance) that the religious life of the Hebrew people is being formalized/standardized and that responsibility for it is being concentrated into the hands of a few?
4. How does (or doesn’t) this new expression in the religious life of the Hebrew people make it easier to see Mercy/Grace (God’s deep and undeserved kindness)?
5. What aspects of Leviticus 16 relate to the work of Christ?
6. How do Hebrews chapters 9 & 10 relate to Leviticus 16?

At our next gathering (Oct 7) we’ll have focused teaching that delves even deeper into the book of Leviticus.
